Welcome to the Year 6 class page!
The Year 6 class teacher is Miss E Barwick and the teaching assistant is Mrs D Rogers.
In Year 6, we participate in and enjoy a range of meaningful learning experiences that provide the children with secure subject knowledge, teach them new skills and develop their existing ones. In Year 6, we cover a range of subjects that provide the children with a wealth of opportunities, to explore their passions and interests, whilst improving their academic attainment and developing their personal skills. By doing so, we aim to ensure that all children are ready to embark on their new and exciting journey to secondary school and beyond.
In addition to all of the above, the children get to create and perform a Leavers’ Assembly and are given the opportunity to go on a 5-day residential trip. These experiences are fundamental in terms of developing each child’s resilience and independence, whilst also giving them opportunities to try things that they may have not done in the past.
