Safeguarding

SAFEGUARDING AT GODSTONE PRIMARY AND NURSERY SCHOOL

Godstone Primary and Nursery School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff, volunteers and visitors to share this commitment.

This means that we have a Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy and procedures in place, which can be viewed on our website or in the main office.  All staff (including supply staff, volunteers and governors) must ensure that they are aware of our safeguarding and child protection procedures.

Sometimes we may need to share information and work in partnership with other agencies when there are concerns for a child’s welfare.  If we have concerns about the suspected harm or abuse of a child, we will submit a referral to the Surrey C-SPA (Children’s Single Point of Access) and will provide continuing support to that child in school.

If you are worried about the safety of any young person in our school, you must report this.  Please speak to the staff responsible for Child Protection or contact Surrey C-SPA (0300 470 9100).
