Internet Safety

At Godstone Primary and Nursery School, we believe that children should not be completely restricted on what they can access but should educate them to make the right choices, become responsible users of technology and make a positive contribution online. Each month, an online safety assembly is delivered, focusing on one of the eight different aspects of online education laid out in the 'Education for a Connected World' framework. Following this, teachers plan and deliver online safety lessons appropriate to the age and stage of the children in their class. This is in addition to regular online safety messages in computing lessons and the wider curriculum and annually celebrating 'Safer Internet day'.
